What we do
We think that technology has no values. It is there. We say that this or that appears on the internet as if that were guarantor of the truth. But we know this is not because behind each technology, and behind each information there is a person.
That is why technology is not free of intention or abstain from values.
The false feeling of autonomy of the technology may have a bigger impact if we talk about AI. In this case, one more element joins in favor of incorporating values into technology: the system learns; and with such complexity, that even their learning can escape the control of the designers. The AI is not only not free from human intentionality, but its intention may be unknown.

This think tank was born with the aim of reflecting on the challenges of technology to find viable solutions that lead us to a world where machines are not a threat, but an opportunity for a better society.
AI AND EMPLOYMENT
It is not clear if artificial intelligence will create or destroy employment. But the assumption employment will not be the same in 20 years, is something that seems proven.
DIGITAL INEQUALITY
Technology has been improving production capacity and quality of life, but today is increasingly complex and only accessible for a few.
THE IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGY
In 2014, Eugene Goostman´s bot emulated a human during a conversation. And AI systems have improved since then.
ARTIFICIAL STUPIDITY
People make mistakes, therefore, machines too, because they are created by people. Machines only make what we want.
BIAS AND LACK OF NEUTRALITY
We can think that machines act in a fair and neutral way because they have no will or particular interests. But it is not entirely true.

AI SECURITY
Every digital device can be hacked. It doesn’t matter how many security measures you have. Therefore, it can be dangerous.
TECHNOLOGICAL RESPONSABILITY
AI is based on complex algorithms that can escape from the control of their designers. Machines can learn uncontrollably.
ROBOTIC LAW
Machines are increasingly involved in daily life. They are machines with a certain autonomy and they are able to make some decisions.
